3-Day Wheel-Throwing Workshop: Bottles & Vases
Led by ceramic artist Yael Rosenberg
This three-day workshop focuses on creating bottle and vase forms on the wheel. It is suitable for both beginners and more advanced potters. To get the most from the course, you should be able to centre clay, though beginners will receive support to improve and build consistency in their centering technique.
Day 1:
Learn how to prepare, centre, and throw clay to create cylinders, which will then be shaped into bottles and vases.
Day 2:
Continue building on the techniques from Day 1, refining your throwing skills. You’ll also make chucks in preparation for trimming on Day 3.
Day 3:
Trim your pieces from Days 1 and 2. Explore decorative techniques such as inlay, texture, and other surface embellishments.
This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to elevate and develop their throwing practice and learn to create more refined vessel forms. With a small class size of just six participants, you’ll receive plenty of personalised attention and support from Yael.
