Course description:
A friendly and relaxed weekly class open to all skill levels. With the support of your tutor (Amy), you’ll be guided through your own individual projects while receiving plenty of ideas and inspiration along the way.
As you work on your projects, you’ll learn various ceramic techniques and discover how to achieve the best results. If you prefer a more structured approach, we’re happy to set projects and create individual plans—just let us know what works best for you.
This class welcomes both complete beginners and experienced potters. You’ll receive lots of creative and technical guidance with your work, and both hand-building and throwing techniques being supported.
Our studio is well-equipped with seven wheels, plus one kick wheel, a slab roller, and an extensive selection of plaster moulds and lots of tools. We also offer a wide variety of glazes and slips for you to experiment with and explore.
Once you are confident working independently you will be able to join our add on drop in sessions too, and will have first priority for future courses too.
What to bring:
Please bring with you an apron and hand towel, all other tools will be provided.
Additional charges:
Clay is charged at £5/kg and includes glazes and firing charges.
Any clay brought from outside the studio or specialist firings will have their own additional charges.
Age Suitability:

Whilst missing any sessions is frustrating, we can’t guarantee that these sessions can be made up. However we will always try our best to help you make up any missed sessions if there are any spaces in any class, or session swaps. Missed classes can't be swapped for drop in sessions or other courses.
