Course description:

A fun and creative pottery class for teens aged 12–16.

In this session, you’ll be learning hand-building or wheel-throwing techniques and decorating our pots. It’s a relaxing, pottery-filled way to start the weekend.

Exploring coil pots, slab building, pinch pots, and wheel throwing. There will be plenty of project ideas and inspiration available, including examples from ceramic artists and other creative starting points. You’re encouraged to bring your own ideas too! Emma your tutor will provide lots of guidance, inspiration and creative encouragement too.

GCSE students are welcome to use work created during the sessions as part of their GCSE Art portfolio. We’re also happy to support students wishing to use the course for the Skills section of their DofE Award.

All class members will receive priority booking for the next set of classes after the February half-term and Easter holidays.

Clay (up to 5 kg) is included. Additional pots will be charged at £5 per kg, which covers glazing and firing.

What to Bring:

  • Apron/old shirt

  • Small hand towel

  • Short nails and long hair tied back
