We are extremely sad to share that Pothole’s studio at The Viaduct is currently closed, following a sudden and very unexpected situation with our premises.

For the past year, we had been working with Haringey Council after proactively contacting them about a concern with our lease. Those discussions had been positive and, by the summer, we genuinely believed we were making good progress towards securing Pothole’s future at The Viaduct.

Unfortunately, in August we unexpectedly lost access to the studio.

We are now doing everything we can to secure Pothole’s future at The Viaduct, and we need your support to show Haringey just how much this little studio means to people, and what could be lost if it cannot continue.

Please sign our petition and, if you can, leave a comment telling Haringey what Pothole means to you. Every voice really does help.

However this is not the end of Pothole.

We are exploring every possible route to secure Pothole’s future at The Viaduct.

What happens now?

While we work towards securing Pothole’s home, we will keep Pothole going in other ways.

Pop-up events, workshops, community projects and more.

News will be shared on our website, Instagram and mailing list

Waiting for pots?

If you have work with us from the summer, thank you so much for your patience.

The unexpected closure has meant that we’re running behind with firing and collections while we work through the practicalities of accessing, firing and safely returning everyone’s work.

We currently expect pot collections to take place in late October, and we’ll contact everyone with details as soon as arrangements are confirmed.

Thank you so much for bearing with us.

We hope to be welcoming you back at the Arches very soon.

With love,

Jenny & the Pothole team
